A review of The Stockwell Arms by Richard treborem written on Wednesday 23rd of November 2011
This amazing inn stands in West Stockwell Street in an area known as the Dutch Quarter. It dates from the 14th - 15th century. Currently it is undergoing extensive renovation by the new owners who are restoring the building to reintroduce it as a great hall. The 14th century interior will have two restored inglenook chimney's complete with original meat hooks. Sadly the pub will only reopen in May 2012, but the venue will be spectacular!!! Rumours say a microbrewery is possible too! So go spread the word!!!
